Steamer Trading Cambridge
Daniels Group was commissioned to manage and undertake a large construction re-modelling scheme in this grade 2 listed building for Raylian, a well-regarded and established interior and shop fitting firm based in London.
We worked closely with Raylian’s design team and in accordance with the requirments of landlords Gonville and Caius College.
The initial brief was to undertake the demolition of the load-bearing walls between two retail units in Central Cambridge to create one larger retail unit. Additionally a number of other structural alterations were designed by our engineers as the project progressed and undertaken within the programme of works. The structural work included the design and installation of large steel bearers to support the concrete floor slab and to enable the support of a large steel and glass staircase.
